Our shutters are stronger and more durable than those found elsewhere. This is because we offer slim-line horizontal-design louvers instead of oval louvers and our shutters have more meat on their edges, which makes the staples connecting the tilt rod to the louvers hold tighter and longer. Our louvers don’t simply break around the staples like oval louvers tend to do, but hold strong and provide quality shutters that will stand the test of time instead.

Shutter Materials

Our HDF shutters are warp-free. We manufacture the entire spectrum of shutter types, from high-density fiberboard (HDF) to vinyl, and natural hardwoods such as knotty alder and basswood. But for unbeatable durability, we recommend HDF shutters. This is a technologically-advanced wood product that is warp-free, has a superior finishing surface, and is less expensive than either the natural hardwoods or the vinyl shutters.

Our shutters also have tougher paints. We are one of the few shutter companies in Utah that uses water-based paint, which is more resistant to UV damage and will not yellow like the conversion-varnish and lacquer-based paints that our competitors use. This means better protection for your shutters over the long run. Our slim-line horizontal louvers are also easier to sand than oval louvers, giving them a smoother and more consistent finish.
