Step 1:Grip the crown of the staple with a pair of needle nose pliers.
Step 2:Dip approximately ¾ of the staple in wood glue or normal white Elmer’s glue. Do not over the crown of the staple with the glue.
Step 3:Loop the new staple around it’s companion and insert the prongs into the existing holes and push straight in.
Step 4:The crown of the staple should stick out approximately as far as the other staples in the shutter to ensure proper function.
